WiBro (Wireless Broadband) and DMB (Digital Multimedia Broadcasting), both created in Korea, have been named among the world's highest level in digital convergence technology.

The Ministry of Science and Technology and the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Evaluation and Planning (KISTEP) said over the weekend that no differences exist in technology levels between WiBro and DMB versus the world's best in the same genres.

The finding was part of the technology evaluation survey the ministry and the KISTEP recently conducted for Korea's 21 'promising technologies in the future.'
